From 15th to 17th November, the Amsterdam Metstrade Show returns, full of exciting news. The international exhibition is dedicated to operators of the equipment and accessory sector of the marine leisure industry.

This year, in fact, the Metstrade is presented with an approach more geared towards the ecological transition which now encompasses the entire marine sector, including the accessories.

The Show is undoubtedly the world’s most important B2B exhibition of marine accessories. Present this year will be over 1,400 international exhibitors, many of whom are Italian.

For the “made in Italy” brands, the Dutch event has foreseen two specially-dedicated exclusive areas, one in the Super Yachts Pavillon and the other in Hall 12.

And precisely in the Super Yachts Pavilion you can find the Opac stand (11,409), where you can admire the blades for hard-tops, equipped with LED spotlights, the Easy Top, an innovative manually-operated soft-top and the pole kits for awnings.

The hard-top with rotating slats has been enhanced with LED spotlights for the area beneath the roof. Thanks to this new concept, the hard-top can be used to light the interior even when closed and it is possible to install several light points on each blade, or on the desired number of blades, depending on the desired level of brightness. The brightness available ranges from 250 to 1000 lumens for each blade. The LED spotlight hard-top on offer can thus be fully adapted to the needs or simply the wishes of the client.

Easy Top is a fabric roof designed to provide an effective solution to problems that can arise with manual handling. With a simple combination of movements, an innovative handle enables the opening and closing of the roof and can hold it in any intermediate position, thus allowing the user to control the opening space desired. This patented opening system can be easily operated even by one hand and as such is the only one of its kind on the market.

The shading veils kit is composed of a series of carbon fiber poles, the number of which is determined by the needs of the client, designed for supporting the awnings. The poles can be neatly stowed in a peak when not in use and then easily installed using bayonet mounts in special slots located flush on the topside. In the Heavy Duty version, the tensioning of the awning takes place with reduced effort thanks to the use of a mini-hoist integrated at the top of the pole.

Lastly, another Opac – branded product is the control panel, customizable to the preferences of the shipbuilder or shipowner, which controls all the opening and closing devices of the hard or soft tops. Produced in AISI 316 stainless steel with watertight buttons, it is interfaced directly with all automatic OPAC products.
